That is sew cool logo head only

About me:

I was very young when I first started sewing.  I remember my Father showing me how to make a dice bag.  I was 8 or 9 at the time.  It was made from an old pair of pants that were green corduroy.  We used a shoe lace for the draw string.  After realizing I could make my own things, I was hooked.  Flash forward to the present.  I was told by a dear friend that she thought it would be great to receive something hand made by me.  For Christmas I made a custom, and very warm, cloak with a matching bag.  I had the sewing bug again and I was not going to look back.

I currently sew quite regularly, almost every day.  The mindset that I get when I am sewing is not unlike when I ride my motorcycle.  You get this “zen” moment where things just fit in the world.  The constant brrr of the sewing machine drowns out the rest of the world.  Having something, in the end, that you have made from scratch, that someone else will cherish, is very rewarding.   Sewing just helps with my mental state.

If you receive somethig I have made, know that it is made with a tremendous amount of love and passion.  Also know that it is very likely it was made while watching Star Trek.

Make it Sew…Wait that is not right.
